Where can CampArca work?
CampArca mainly serves Gironde, around Léognan, the Bordeaux metropolitan area, Arcachon Bay and southern Gironde, as well as certain neighbouring areas.
Requests outside this area can be assessed individually according to the type of work and travel distance.
Do I need to move my vehicle?
No. CampArca is a mobile workshop and works directly where your vehicle is located, provided conditions allow the work to be carried out properly and safely.
The vehicle must be parked in an accessible, sufficiently stable, clear and safe location to allow the technician to work.
Which vehicles do you work on?
CampArca mainly works on motorhomes, campervans, vans and caravans.
The feasibility of certain jobs may depend on the vehicle, its equipment, technical accessibility or the availability of the necessary parts.
What information should I provide?
To enable an initial assessment, ideally provide the vehicle type, make, year and parking location, together with as precise a description as possible of the fault or service required.
Photographs of the equipment, the observed defect, the identification plate or technical references may also be requested to help prepare the visit.
How soon can I book a visit?
Timescales vary according to the nature of your request, your location, parts availability and the schedule of existing appointments.
After reviewing your request, CampArca will propose the most suitable available appointment.
Understanding the service
Diagnostics, parts and repairs
Is there a charge for diagnostics?
Yes. Fault finding or diagnostics is a technical service in its own right.
Depending on the situation, diagnostics may require various checks, measurements, tests or dismantling before the cause of the malfunction can be precisely determined.
The applicable price is communicated before the visit or stated in the quote where it can be determined in advance.
Can I request diagnostics only?
Yes. You can ask CampArca simply to investigate the cause of a malfunction.
After the diagnosis, the findings and possible solutions will be explained to you.
You then remain free to accept or decline the proposed repairs.
What happens if a part needs replacing after the diagnosis?
Where diagnostics identify a faulty part or item of equipment, CampArca informs you of the repairs needed before starting additional work.
If the part needs to be ordered, another visit may be scheduled to replace it.
The cost of parts, additional labour and any charges for another journey are communicated before you give your agreement.
What happens if the repair cannot be completed on site?
Some faults require a specific part, further checks, specialist equipment or a second visit.
In that case, CampArca explains the findings, the remaining work and any additional costs before continuing the repair.
No significant additional service is undertaken without your agreement.
Can I supply an accessory or part myself?
Yes, subject to prior approval by CampArca.
Before installation, the equipment must be compatible with the vehicle, its existing installation and the technical requirements for correct fitting.
Where a product is supplied directly by the customer, however, CampArca cannot guarantee the compliance, compatibility or inherent operation of that equipment.
The service conditions are specified before the visit.
Working on site
Travel and safety
How are travel costs calculated?
Travel costs are calculated using several factors relating to the journey needed to reach the work location.
The calculation may include the distance travelled, the national median diesel price applicable at the time of the estimate, wear and operating costs for the workshop vehicle, and costs associated with the technician’s travel.
Together, these factors provide an amount appropriate to each visit.
The applicable price is communicated before you approve the service.
Is another journey charged if a second visit is needed?
As a general rule, each journey for a separate visit may incur travel costs.
For example, if a first visit is used for diagnostics and a second visit is needed after a part arrives to carry out the repair, that new journey is charged separately.
However, where the vehicle is nearby and requires only a very short journey, CampArca may adjust or waive these costs depending on the circumstances.
The applicable conditions are specified before the visit.
What happens if the vehicle is not parked safely enough?
CampArca works only where the surroundings allow the technician to work under satisfactory safety conditions.
If, on arrival, the vehicle’s location presents a risk — for example immediately beside a busy road, on a dangerous verge, on unstable ground, in an insufficiently clear area or in any other situation presenting a particular risk — the technician may ask for the vehicle to be moved to a more suitable location.
If the customer refuses or cannot move the vehicle and the work cannot be carried out safely, CampArca may postpone or decline the service.
Where the technician has already travelled, the agreed travel costs may remain payable even if the technical work could not be carried out for this reason.
Can work be interrupted for safety reasons?
Yes. The safety of the customer, technician and anyone around the vehicle remains the priority.
If a dangerous situation arises during the work, CampArca may suspend it until conditions allow the service to continue safely.

Quotes and practical arrangements
Does a service request mean I have accepted a quote?
No. Submitting a request through the website primarily allows CampArca to assess your needs and their feasibility.
Where the service requires a quote, it is sent to you separately.
The final work is undertaken only after your agreement under the terms specified in the quote.
Do I need to be present throughout the visit?
Not necessarily.
Vehicle access and the arrangements for the visit are agreed with you beforehand.
On completion, CampArca explains the work carried out and any recommendations or further repairs to consider.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Payment terms are specified on CampArca quotes and invoices.
Depending on the service, an advance payment may also be requested, particularly where equipment or parts must be ordered before the visit.
Is CampArca’s registered office open to the public?
No. CampArca operates mainly as a mobile workshop and visits its customers directly.
The administrative office is not intended to receive the public without a prior appointment.
